Field Trip To Arlington Apple Orchard

Next Monday, October 24th is our field trip to Arlington Apple Orchard. Please ensure your child is dressed warmly and in layers. I would recommend rubber boots, hat and mitts/ gloves also. We will leave the school a little after 9am and will return around 1pm. We look forward to sharing this experience with the grade one students also.

"My Puppy" Storysack



The children in the class will each have a turn to take home a storysack containing a cuddly puppy and some of the items a puppy would need. You may enjoy reading the book with your child and can even write a story about the adventures the puppy had at your house. As we read this book, we are learning to recognize the sight word "my". As part of our social studies curriculum, we will also be learning about needs and wants...


The Transformation of the Dramatic Play Center

Perhaps the children have told you about the transformation of our dress-up area into an ice-cream shop. I asked the children for their suggestions as to what they would like to see in the dramatic play center. Following our discussion, it was decided that we would create an ice cream shop.Look at the wonderful ideas the children came up with as we brainstormed what we needed and wanted for our ice cream shop.
